Favorite Music, Artists, Genres:
Music is my life.,
lt;pgt;,
I know I am supposed to put music that I like here,
but I like all music...except country and polkas.,
lt;pgt;,
I began playing Cello in third-grade and tried the trumpet in fifth. In high school,
my music teacher thought me to crazy to not be in marching band,
however,
cello wasn't really a marching band-kind of instrument,
so I played the trombone.,
lt;pgt;,
Today,
I'm a bassist,
composer,
songwriter and singer. In fact,
we all are.

Favorite Books, Writers, Genres:
I love to read. I tend to read more non-fiction than fiction but I will occasionally,
read a bestseller to keep-up with pop culture. My favorite book of all time is Mark Twain's "Letters from Earth.",
lt;pgt;,
I had to read the classics and began with ÂÂ"The OdysseyÂÂ" and ÂÂ"A,
Brave New World.ÂÂ" W. Sommerset Maughm is my favorite writer; ÂÂ"Of,
Human BondageÂÂ" and the ÂÂ"RazorÂÂ's EdgeÂÂ" are my two most,
favorite books of his (or hers). Next to MaughmÂÂ's classics,
my favorite,
book in this genre is ÂÂ"Heart of Darkness,
ÂÂ" ÂÂ"The Hobbit ÂÂ" and,
the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy.,
lt;pgt;,
In between a classic or two,
I love to read about politics and philosophy.,
Some of my favorite political books have been Pat BuchananÂÂ's ÂÂ"Where the,
Right Went Wrong,
ÂÂ" Richard ClarkeÂÂ's ÂÂ"Against All EnemiesÂÂ" and,
Gore VidalÂÂ's ÂÂ"Washington,
Jefferson and Hamilton.ÂÂ",
lt;pgt;,
Frederik NietzeÂÂ's ÂÂ"Beyond Good and EvilÂÂ" was one of my favorite,
philosophical books,
including the works of one of my heroes,
Joseph Campbell,
whose ÂÂ"Power of MythÂÂ" and ÂÂ"Hero of a Thousand FacesÂÂ" opened,
my eyes to a whole new world. Alan Watts follows Campbell as a philosopher who,
discusses our western culture through Eastern Philosophy and its practice of,
Zen in ÂÂ"The Book: The Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are.ÂÂ" The ÂÂ"Tao,
of PoohÂÂ" and Eugen Herrigel's ÂÂ"Zen in the Art of Archery.ÂÂ" These,
can be considered a mixture of psychology and philosophy. I love to read about,
mythology.,
lt;pgt;,
Of course,
I love to read the latest bestseller to keep-up with pop culture,
such as ÂÂ"The DaVinci CodeÂÂ" and The Bible. lt;/pgt;,
lt;/bodygt;,
